I am totally biased because I was in love with this shop before ever being there. I was working in a miserable, repressive, monstrous, torturous job. I was drudging through soulless crap writing when out of the corner of my eye the most beautiful image appeared. A chocolatey, peanut buttery, banana chip topped cupcake. It was so beautiful, modern, big city and perfect. I overheard my co-workers discussing the land this beautiful symbol of goodness came from....this...cupcakery.
For months, I thought about that cupcake. I lost that terrible job through a stroke of good fortune and as I was spiraling into despair, I found Lucy and Leo's Cupcakery. I went there everyday for almost a month, which probably accounts for that extra 3 pounds I am humping around with this summer.
Lucy and Leo's is my happy place. My favorite cupcakes are the strawberry shortcake with it's light whipped topping and Monkey Business with it's amazing peanut butter icing and the best banana bread/cake you will ever have.
